No: 1251/PRB/CPO. Following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police has launched a special “Nasha Ab Nahi” campaign to combat narcotics and protect young people from the harmful effects of drug abuse.
As part of the campaign, police officers have been conducting awareness sessions and delivering special lectures at various educational institutions to educate students about the harmful effects of narcotics and preventive measures.
During the campaign, various police stations organized awareness activities and delivered lectures at educational institutions, highlighting the devastating impact of drug abuse on the health, education, and future of students. Students were urged to stay away from drugs, protect themselves from negative influences, and play their role in making their communities free from the menace of narcotics.
Parents and teachers were also encouraged to work together with the police to prevent young people from falling victim to drug abuse and to create a safe and healthy environment for students.
Police officers appealed to citizens to immediately report any drug-related activity in their areas to the police. They emphasized that public cooperation is essential for effectively combating and eradicating the menace of narcotics.
Islamabad Police and the Anti-Narcotics Force are jointly working to curb drug trafficking and prevent the distribution of narcotics, while special teams have been constituted to identify and apprehend drug peddlers, particularly those targeting educational institutions.
Police officers further emphasized that individuals involved in the illegal trade and distribution of narcotics and liquor will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law. Islamabad Police is actively engaging with the community and educational institutions to create greater awareness and make the federal capital safer and more secure.
Citizens are urged to report any suspicious persons or drug-related activities to their nearest police station, through the Pucar-15 emergency helpline or via the ICT Police mobile application.
