DG Safe City/DIG Traffic reviews telecommunication modernization plan

According to the details, Director General Safe City / DIG Traffic Islamabad Muhammad Haroon Joya chaired an important meeting at the Safe City Headquarters to review the upgradation and modernization of the Islamabad Police telecommunication system. The meeting was attended by officers from the Safe City Technical Team and the Telecommunication Team. During the meeting, the existing telecommunication system was comprehensively reviewed, and various proposals were discussed to align it with modern technological requirements. It was decided to establish a high-speed data link to ensure seamless communication between the Safe City camera network, Traffic Police, and field units. An integrated Command and Control Network will also be developed to connect all operational units on a single platform, further enhancing coordination across the force. Addressing the meeting, DG Safe City / DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joya said that upgrading the telecommunication system is essential to meet modern policing requirements. He stated that the advanced communication network would significantly improve internal coordination, information sharing, and operational efficiency. It would also enable the timely exchange of information related to emergencies, accidents, and traffic flow, ensuring a faster and more effective response. He further said that the modern telecommunication infrastructure would enhance the overall performance of Islamabad Police, strengthen coordination among its units, and improve the delivery of safe, timely, and quality policing services to the citizens of the federal capital. He reaffirmed Islamabad Police's commitment to leveraging modern technology to build a more professional, efficient, and citizen-centric police force.
