According to the details, in accordance with the special directives of Federal Minister for Interior Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, Islamabad Police is committed to resolving citizens’ issues promptly and providing timely relief.
In this regard, DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem held an open court at his office, where he listened to citizens’ complaints and directed the concerned officers to ensure their prompt resolution. Citizens presented their issues and complaints, which were heard by the DIG, who directed the concerned officers to take legal action on the applications within the stipulated time and submit reports accordingly.
DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem said that the prompt resolution of citizens’ issues strictly on merit is among the top priorities of Islamabad Police. He said that citizens can approach open courts without hesitation or any recommendation and directly present their issues to police officers. Citizens can also register their complaints and issues through the IGP Complaint Cell 1715.
He further said that Islamabad Police is committed to reaching out to citizens through various initiatives and resolving their problems. IGP Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry has directed all senior police officers to hold open courts across the district, while all zonal SPs are also conducting open courts in their respective zones. Citizens can present their issues openly at these open courts. The objective of this public outreach initiative is to resolve citizens’ problems at their doorstep.
DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem said that Islamabad Police is pursuing a zero-tolerance policy against violence against women and children, while providing maximum relief to citizens remains a top priority. He said that the rule of law would be ensured under all circumstances, every citizen would be treated equally, and all applications would be decided strictly on merit. The protection of citizens’ lives, property and dignity remains paramount.
