According to the details, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Ali Waseem held an open court at his office, where a large number of citizens participated and presented their issues and complaints. The DIG listened to their concerns and issued necessary directions to the concerned officers on the spot for their prompt resolution.
On the occasion, DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem said that the doors of his office are always open to the citizens of Islamabad. Citizens can approach the open court without hesitation or any recommendation and present their issues and complaints directly. He directed the concerned officers to ensure the timely and effective resolution of citizens’ complaints in accordance with the law.
Later, DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem visited the office of the Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC), where he met Chairman of the Reconciliation Committee Tayyab Malik and other officials. On the occasion, the DIG said that ADRC is an important platform established by Islamabad Police to resolve disputes between citizens peacefully and effectively through mutual understanding, dialogue, and mutual consent. He directed that the reconciliation mechanism be further strengthened to provide timely justice and facilitation to citizens.
Meanwhile, DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem also formally launched the plantation campaign by planting a sapling at his office. He said that trees are essential for ensuring a safe, healthy, and sustainable future for coming generations. Promoting plantation is a shared responsibility, and collective efforts are needed to create a greener and healthier environment.
He urged citizens, as well as police officers and officials, to actively participate in plantation activities, plant more trees, and ensure the proper care and maintenance of the saplings.
