No: 1007/PRB/CPO. According to the details, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired an important meeting at the Central Police Office (CPO), Islamabad, which was attended by all DIGs, AIGs, SSPs, and other senior police officers.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review was conducted of the overall law and order situation in the federal capital, security arrangements, crime prevention efforts, the progress of under-investigation cases, ongoing operations against proclaimed offenders and criminal elements, traffic management, the patrolling system, the redressal of public complaints, and other professional matters.
IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi directed all officers to utilize every available resource to eliminate crime, protect the lives and property of citizens, and maintain law and order. He instructed that operations against criminals, drug traffickers, land grabbers, and other lawbreakers be further intensified without discrimination, while under-investigation cases should be finalized strictly on merit and within the prescribed time frame.
Reviewing the security arrangements, the IGP directed officers to further strengthen the security of important public and private installations, diplomatic missions, places of worship, and other public locations. He also instructed that the patrolling and picketing system be kept fully operational in accordance with modern policing requirements to ensure a timely and effective response to any untoward incident.
IGP Islamabad further directed officers to enhance traffic management to ensure the smooth flow of traffic across the federal capital, enforce lane discipline, remove encroachments, and facilitate citizens with safe and efficient road services. He emphasized that strict legal action should be taken against traffic violators without discrimination, while ensuring courteous and professional conduct towards the public at all times.
IGP Islamabad further stated that public service, transparency, and merit remain the top priorities of Islamabad Police. He urged all officers to perform their duties with honesty, integrity, and professionalism to further strengthen public confidence in the police.
He also made it clear that officers demonstrating outstanding performance would be encouraged and rewarded, while those found negligent or guilty of misconduct would face strict departmental disciplinary action.
