No: 1337/PRB/CPO. According to the details, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry chaired a meeting with DIG Headquarters Muhammad Jawad Tariq and other senior police officers. The meeting reviewed Islamabad Police’s overall performance, professional and administrative affairs, ongoing public facilitation initiatives, and the provision of effective and timely police services to citizens.
During the meeting, senior officers briefed the IGP Islamabad on various ongoing and planned projects aimed at facilitating citizens. Different proposals were also discussed to make police services more accessible, efficient, and citizen-friendly. Matters relating to the prompt resolution of citizens’ complaints, strengthening police-public engagement, and improving the overall standard of service delivery were also discussed in detail.
The IGP Islamabad directed that citizens should not face unnecessary difficulties in accessing police services and that all concerned departments ensure the provision of timely, transparent, and effective services. He emphasized that modern technology and all available resources should be utilized effectively to further improve police services and facilitate citizens.
He further directed the officers to improve traffic management, ensure smooth traffic flow, and adopt a coordinated strategy to address difficulties faced by citizens during their daily commute. He also stressed the need to make the traffic system more organized and effective, ensure enforcement of traffic laws, and further strengthen public awareness initiatives regarding road safety.
The IGP Islamabad directed that citizens’ complaints and applications be addressed promptly and that concerned officers ensure timely relief. He emphasized courteous, respectful, and professional conduct towards citizens, adding that unnecessary delays and negligence in the provision of police services would not be tolerated.
Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry further said that the protection of citizens’ lives and property, provision of quality police services, and enforcement of the law are among the fundamental priorities of Islamabad Police. He directed all officers to perform their professional responsibilities with commitment, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility, and to continue taking effective measures to further strengthen public trust in the police.
He also directed the officers to further improve administrative affairs, ensure the timely disposal of departmental matters, and pay due attention to resolving issues faced by police officers and officials, so that the overall performance and service delivery of Islamabad Police could be further enhanced.
