IGP Islamabad reviews crime prevention strategy, investigation progress, and public safety measures

According to the details, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, chaired a high-level meeting attended by DG Safe City/DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, SSP Investigation Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt, and other senior police officers. During the meeting, a comprehensive review was conducted of the overall law and order situation in the federal capital, ongoing crime prevention measures, the progress of investigations into heinous cases, operations against proclaimed and habitual offenders, intelligence-led policing, the effective use of modern technology, the Safe City surveillance system, emergency response mechanisms, interdepartmental coordination, and the delivery of timely and quality police services to the public. On the occasion, the IGP Islamabad directed all officers to further intensify indiscriminate operations against criminal elements, proclaimed offenders, and habitual offenders. He instructed that investigations into pending cases be completed strictly on merit and that comprehensive challans, supported by strong evidence, be submitted to the relevant courts without delay to ensure the successful prosecution of offenders. He further directed officers to maximize the use of modern technology, intelligence-led policing, and the Safe City surveillance system to strengthen crime prevention efforts. He also emphasized enhancing interdepartmental coordination, maintaining an effective emergency response system, and continuously improving professional standards at every level. IGP Islamabad further stated that transparent investigations, effective policing, accountability, impartial enforcement of the law, and the protection of the lives and property of citizens remain the top priorities of Islamabad Police. He emphasized that all officers must perform their duties with honesty, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility to ensure the timely delivery of justice, prompt resolution of public complaints, and the provision of high-quality police services. Reaffirming the force's commitment, the IGP Islamabad stated that Islamabad Police will continue to utilize all available resources to maintain law and order, effectively combat crime, and ensure the safety and security of citizens throughout the federal capital.
