No: 1020/PRB/CPO. According to the details, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held separate meetings with DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq and AIG Legal Tahir Kazim. During the meetings, he conducted a comprehensive review of the overall performance of Islamabad Police, the law and order situation, professional policing matters, community-oriented policing, effective law enforcement, and the delivery of quality police services to the public.
During his meeting with DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, the IGP Islamabad reviewed crime prevention measures across the federal capital, operational policing, intelligence-led policing, the patrolling system, the protection of citizens' lives and property, and initiatives aimed at providing timely relief to the public.
IGP Islamabad directed officers to further intensify indiscriminate action against criminal elements, maximize the use of modern technology, and strengthen community policing to enhance public confidence in the police.
During his meeting with AIG Legal Tahir Kazim, the IGP Islamabad reviewed the progress of cases under investigation, legal matters, cases pending before the courts, the preparation of evidence-based challans, timely compliance with legal requirements, and measures to safeguard the constitutional and legal rights of citizens.
He directed that all investigations be completed strictly on merit, with transparency and in accordance with the law, and instructed that strong, evidence-based challans be submitted to the courts without delay to ensure the successful prosecution of offenders and the timely delivery of justice to citizens.
On the occasion, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi stated that effective policing, transparent investigations, impartial enforcement of the law, accountability, a public-friendly approach, and the protection of citizens' rights remain the top priorities of Islamabad Police.
He reaffirmed that Islamabad Police will continue to utilize all available resources to promote modern, professional, and community-oriented policing, effectively combat crime, and protect the lives and property of citizens with integrity, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility.
