No: 1363/PRB/CPO. Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry chaired an important meeting of senior police officers to review the overall security situation in the federal capital, operational preparedness, and matters concerning police officers and officials, and the performance of various departments.
The meeting reviewed measures to further strengthen security arrangements, improve operational response, ensure effective utilization of police resources and provide timely and quality services to citizens.
IGP Islamabad directed officers to discharge their professional responsibilities efficiently, strengthen coordination and communication, and further improve the overall standards of policing and security.
Later, IGP Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry held an Orderly Room at the Central Police Office, where police officers and officials presented their official and personal matters.
IGP Islamabad listened to their concerns in detail and directed the concerned officers to take appropriate action in accordance with the prescribed rules and regulations. He directed that departmental applications and matters should be handled without unnecessary delay and strictly on merit, with transparency and in accordance with established procedures.
Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry said that police officers and officials perform their duties day and night to protect the lives and property of citizens. He emphasized that their welfare and legitimate concerns would receive due attention.
He further directed senior officers to maintain effective communication with their subordinate officers and officials, listen to their concerns and facilitate them in the performance of their duties.
The IGP Islamabad also stated that serving and retired police officers may meet him directly regarding departmental matters. He said that direct access would continue to be provided to ensure a transparent and responsive departmental environment.
