According to the details, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, visited the Jinnah Convention Centre and the Red Zone, where he conducted a comprehensive review of the security arrangements, duty points, and overall security measures put in place for the upcoming OIC Conference.
During the visit, the IGP Islamabad inspected various security checkpoints, met with officers and officials deployed on duty, and received a detailed briefing from senior police officers on the security plan, response mechanism, and other operational arrangements.
He directed all concerned officers to ensure foolproof security arrangements, effective surveillance, close coordination among all security agencies, and a prompt response throughout the OIC Conference.
He further directed all officers and officials to perform their duties with vigilance, professionalism, and dedication to ensure the safety and security of the conference participants, distinguished guests, and the general public.
Furthermore, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held a meeting with AIG Legal Tahir Kazim, during which he conducted a detailed review of cases under investigation, legal matters, and the progress of court proceedings.
On this occasion, the IGP Islamabad directed the AIG Legal to ensure that all investigations are conducted transparently in accordance with the law and available evidence, that court cases are pursued effectively, and that all legal requirements are fulfilled to ensure the timely and merit-based delivery of justice to citizens.
He reaffirmed Islamabad Police's commitment to upholding the rule of law, promoting transparent policing, and safeguarding the rights of citizens through all possible measures.
