According to the details, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police continues its effective crackdown across the federal capital to prevent crime, apprehend criminal elements, and ensure the safety and security of citizens.
As part of the ongoing operations, Islamabad Police teams arrested 29 accused individuals involved in drug trafficking and the illegal possession of weapons. Police recovered 2173 grams of Ice, 525 grams of heroin, 115 grams of hashish, 25 bottles of liquor, one rifle, and 16 pistols of different calibers, along with ammunition, from their possession. Cases have been registered against the arrested accused, and further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, during a special campaign launched to arrest proclaimed offenders, individuals with previous criminal records, and court absconders, Islamabad Police arrested 29 wanted offenders.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza said that Islamabad Police remain fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens across the federal capital. He said that under the “No to Weapon” campaign, comprehensive action is being taken against the illegal possession and display of weapons, as well as aerial firing.
He further stated that effective measures are also being taken to apprehend proclaimed offenders and individuals with previous criminal records, while ensuring prompt access to justice for citizens.
SSP Operations Islamabad urged citizens to immediately report any suspicious activity to their nearest police station or the Pucar-15 emergency helpline, enabling the police and the public to work together to make the federal capital safer and more secure.
