According to the details, Islamabad Police achieved a major success by arresting accused Fawad Khan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for brutally murdering his elder brother. The accused had stabbed his elder brother, Shahzad Khan, to death with a pair of scissors within the jurisdiction of Sangjani Police Station.
Taking notice of the incident, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi constituted special police teams under the supervision of DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq. The SHO Sangjani Police Station and the investigation team utilized technical and human intelligence to trace and arrest the accused from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa within a short period.
The murder weapon, a pair of scissors, was also recovered from the accused. During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the accused killed his elder brother following an altercation at breakfast. Further investigation is underway.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq said that strict legal action would be taken against those involved in crime, violence, and murder. The accused would be challaned before the competent court on the basis of solid evidence and brought to justice.
He further said that Islamabad Police is utilizing all available resources to protect the lives and property of citizens. Citizens are urged to cooperate with the police and immediately report any suspicious person or activity to the relevant police station or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15”, so that crime can be eliminated through mutual cooperation between the police and the public.
