No: 980/PRB/CPO. Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police continue to carry out indiscriminate operations against criminal elements across the federal capital.
In this regard, the Sumbal Police Station team conducted a successful operation and arrested three members of the organized "Bali" gang, who were wanted in multiple armed robbery cases involving citizens being robbed at gunpoint. Police team also recovered stolen cash, valuable mobile phones, weapons and ammunition used in the crimes from their possession.
The arrested accused were wanted by Islamabad Police in robbery and other heinous crime cases. During the preliminary investigation, they confessed to their involvement in multiple criminal incidents. Efforts are underway to arrest the remaining members of the gang.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq appreciated the performance of the police team and stated that indiscriminate action against criminals who deprive citizens of their valuables will continue.
He further said that Islamabad Police are conducting large-scale operations against organized and active criminal gangs, and these operations will continue until the federal capital is made a safe and peaceful city.
