No: 1344/PRB/CPO. According to the details, Islamabad Police’s Noon Police Station team arrested three members of the notorious “Kohati” gang wanted in multiple robbery incidents. Stolen valuables worth millions, cash, mobile phones and weapons used in the crimes were recovered from their possession.
Multiple cases have already been registered against the arrested suspects. During the initial investigation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in several robbery incidents, while further investigation is underway.
On the special directives of DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem, Islamabad Police is conducting a large-scale crackdown against suspects involved in robbery, theft, street crime and other serious offences. Effective operations are being carried out against criminal elements across the federal capital.
DIG Islamabad directed all officers to further intensify action against those depriving citizens of their valuables and ensure that such elements are brought to justice.
Islamabad Police has appealed to citizens to cooperate with the police and immediately report any suspicious person or activity to the concerned police station or emergency helpline “Pukar-15.”
