No: 1112/PRB/CPO. According to the details, a ceremony was held at the Special Protection Unit (SPU), Security Division, in honour of police officers who were recently promoted to higher ranks.
During the ceremony, Superintendent of Police (SP) Special Protection Unit (SPU) Khalid Mehmood Awan pinned the new ranks on Inspector Saqib Ali Khan and Inspector Raja Tahir Mehmood and congratulated them on their promotions.
Addressing the promoted officers, SP SPU Khalid Mehmood Awan said that their responsibilities have increased with their promotions. He said that IGP Islamabad has issued clear directions to continue the process of departmental promotions against all vacant posts.
He said the promotions were recognition of the officers’ hard work and professional services. He urged them to fulfil their increased responsibilities efficiently and contribute to the good reputation of the police department.
SP SPU Khalid Mehmood Awan emphasized that police officers should make the welfare of the department, provision of justice to citizens, and public service their top priorities. He expressed hope that they would continue performing their duties with courtesy, dedication, sincerity, and a strong spirit of service.
