No: 972/PRB/CPO. According to the details, Islamabad Police further intensified its ongoing crackdown against criminal elements and, during a series of successful operations, arrested seven accused involved in robbery, motorcycle theft, mobile phone theft, and other criminal activities.
Police teams from Karachi Company, Golra, Bani Gala, and Bhara Kahu Police Stations arrested the accused identified as Ehtesham Aziz, Arshad Rehmat, Sardar Shah, Sauban Ahmad, Saad Faizan Shah, Muhammad Zubair, and Hazrat Ali. During the operations, police recovered five valuable mobile phones worth millions of rupees, four stolen motorcycles, cash, and weapons used in the commission of the crimes.
During the preliminary investigation, the arrested accused confessed to their involvement in multiple incidents of robbery and theft. The accused were also found to be involved in stealing mobile phones, cash, and other valuable belongings from attendants of patients within hospital premises.
Cases have been registered against the accused, and further investigation is underway. Police expect more important disclosures during the course of the investigation.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq appreciated the performance of the police teams for the successful operations and said that Islamabad Police is continuing an indiscriminate and vigorous crackdown against organized and active criminal groups.
He stated that the protection of the lives and property of citizens remains the foremost responsibility and priority of Islamabad Police, and strict legal action against criminal elements will continue without interruption.
He further said that Islamabad Police is utilizing all available resources to maintain law and order and provide a safe environment for citizens in the federal capital, adding that no criminal element will be allowed to evade the law.
