According to the details, Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) undergoing training at the National Police Academy visited the DIG Security Office of Islamabad Police, where they were given a detailed briefing on the security system, responsibilities, and operational functions in the federal capital.
On the occasion, DIG Security Islamabad Rana Umar Farooq briefed the trainee officers on the central role and responsibilities of the Security Division. He particularly highlighted the security arrangements for VVIPs and VIPs, security planning, risk assessment, protection of important installations and sensitive locations, and other key security matters.
The DIG Security informed the trainee officers that a comprehensive and coordinated strategy is adopted to ensure the security of important personalities, foreign delegations, diplomatic missions, and other key installations in the federal capital. He emphasized that modern techniques, professional expertise, and effective coordination are essential to address evolving security challenges.
During the visit, the trainee ASPs were also briefed on security duty planning, various security arrangements, command and control mechanisms, coordination with relevant institutions, and procedures for effectively responding to emergency situations.
The trainee officers expressed keen interest in the security system and professional practices of Islamabad Police. The visit was aimed at providing the trainee officers with practical knowledge and professional exposure to policing and security management, enabling them to perform their responsibilities more effectively in the future.
