No: 1021/PRB/CPO. According to the details, a delegation of students from different universities visited the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) Headquarters as part of an educational and awareness tour.
During the visit, traffic police officers briefed the students on the Islamabad Traffic Police's operational system, modern traffic management mechanisms, digital one-window operational halls, and various public service initiatives. The delegation was also informed about the functioning and effectiveness of different departments.
The students were briefed on the use of modern technology in traffic management, including the e-challan system, intelligent traffic monitoring, traffic field operations, and other digital initiatives aimed at improving road safety and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic across the federal capital.
The delegation was further informed that Islamabad Traffic Police is utilizing all available resources to provide citizens with quality services under one roof, particularly for driving license issuance and other traffic-related facilities. Officers also highlighted the role of the 24/7 Police Khidmat Marakaz and Digital Smart Vans, which facilitate the issuance of learner driving permits at educational institutions, including colleges and universities.
On the occasion, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan addressed the students and emphasized the importance of traffic discipline, responsible driving, and strict compliance with traffic laws. She encouraged the students to become ambassadors of road safety by promoting responsible road behavior within their families and communities.
The delegation appreciated the modern policing system, technological advancements, and citizen-centric initiatives of Islamabad Traffic Police, and thanked CTO Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan and her team for arranging an informative and well-organized visit.
