Established on January 1, 1981, via Presidential Orders No. 17 & 18 of 1980, ICT Police replaced ad-hoc arrangements to dedicate law enforcement to the federal capital. Regulated by the Central Police Office (CPO), it has grown to 12,625 personnel across 5 divisions, focusing on rule of law and public safety.
